Energy performance certificates
We provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) which are needed whenever a property is built, sold or rented. An EPC contains information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs and recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money.
An EPC gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and is valid for 10 years. In Scotland, the EPC must be displayed somewhere in the property, eg in the meter cupboard or next to the boiler.
Green deal advice reports
We will carry out a Green Deal assessment which will:
- Use standardised software to identify what energy efficiency or microgeneration improvements you could make and what the financial savings would be. Outline how the payments will work.
- Identify which improvements are likely to be cost effective.
- Produce a Green Deal advice report outlining your options.
The report will also provide standardised impartial advice including a fabric assessment and other potential energy saving advice, include behavioural advice.
We supply Smart meters - the next generation of gas and electricity meters that let consumers see how much energy they are using and what it will cost. This will give them more control over their energy use and help them save energy and money.
Most householders will have smart meters installed by their energy company between 2015 and 2020, although some energy companies are starting to install smart meters now.
Smart meters also give suppliers access to accurate data for billing, removing the need to manually read meters.
We undertake energy audits, involving a review of historical energy data and a site survey. Using the data and survey results, a comprehensive energy profile of the site is drawn up and recommendations made for further energy saving.
The most appropriate and cost-effective energy-saving solutions are detailed, complete with projected payback periods and ROI.
